24.02.
Heute wurde Léon erkundet...für mich war nach einem halben Tag alles wichtige gesehen! Das Highlight war die Kathedrale. Sie ist die größte in Zentralamerika. Sieht erstmal unscheinbar und nicht besonders schön aus, aber wenn man auf dem Dach ist, kommt man aus dem Staunen nicht mehr heraus! Man darf nur Barfuß laufen Und dort ist alles weiß. Die Bauart erinnert an Griechenland! Wunderschön!
Dann habe ich eine Tour für morgen gebucht und dann den heißen Nachmittag im schönen Hostel-Garten verbracht und meine Bilder im Fotobuch upgedated!

Heute gings zum Volcano-Boarding!
So cool! Ich hab eine Agentur gefunden, wo man stehend runter fahren kann, statt nur sitzend! Wir fuhren zuerst mit dem Jeep für ca 45 min über Vulkan-sandige Pisten und dann liefen wir mit dem Board unter dem Arm für 2km auf einen aktiven Vulkan (Anmerkung: Der Cerro Negro ist ein 728 m hoher Vulkan. Er befindet sich in der Bergkette Cordillera de los Maribios, in der viele aktive Vulkane liegen. Dieser Vulkan ist sehr aktiv, kann aber bestiegen werden, da sich die Eruptionszeiten auf Grund seiner besonderen Beschaffenheit sehr genau voraussagen lassen. Bei jedem Ausbruch wächst der Vulkankegel. Letzte Eruption war 1999).
Es war Mega windig dort oben! Kaum vorstellbar!!
Gut dass ich nicht nur 50kg wiege - da müsste ich Angst haben weggeblasen zu werden! :-/
Unsere Gruppe bestand aus einem Pärchen und mit mir 3 Mädels! 2 Mädels sind nur hoch- und runter gelaufen, der Kerl ist im Sitzen gefahren (ähnlich wie eine Schlittenfahrt) und wir 2 Mädels sind mutig im stehen runter geboardet! Es sieht leichter aus, als es ist! 2-3 Kurven habe ich geschafft und dann plumpste ich hin und dann wieder 2-3 Kurven...Amy (das andere Mädchen) ist leider nur hingefallen und konnte nicht fahren! Aber es hat Mega Spaß gemacht! Und jeder hatte nen super Sexy Anzug an! :-)
Anschließend fuhr ich an den Strand "Las Peñitas".
Übernachtet wird hier im Bigfoot Hostel direkt am Strand (6US$/Person). Wir sind zu 3. im 5-Bett-Zimmer! Ganz cool!
Man hört vom Bett aus das Wellenrauschen! (Sobald die Party nachlässt und die Musik aus ist) :-p
Aber das Gute an all den "Schnapsleichen" ist, dass die Tags ihren Rausch ausschlafen und ich den Strand fast leer auffinde :-)
Das einzig schlimme in Nicaragua bisher waren die Bienen! Auf dem Vulkan karten wir vll 5 Bienen, die wohl aus dem
Rucksack kamen - ich bin schonmal halb ausgeflippt und der Guide meinte, dass vor ca.1 Woche ein Riesen Bienenschwarm dort geflogen ist und die Leute sich flach auf den Boden legen mussten! *habs nicht so geglaubt*
Dann am Strand heute sehe ich nur irgendwann viele schwarze "Fliegen".... Wirklich viele! Und die kamen näher und ich identifizierte sie als Bienen und die hatten eine sehr geringe Flughöhe und mein Adrenalinspiegel stieg um das 100 fache an und ich legte mich flach hin und die blöden Bienen flogen dann an ein Holzstamm und binnen Sekunden war der Holzstamm schwarz und mit Bienen übersät! Sowas habe ich noch nie gesehen! Gott sei dank wollten die nix von mir! :-)
Abends liefen wir ca.20 minuten ins "Dorf" und haben etwas gegessen. Danach noch ein bisschen gechillter und dann ging es ins Bett!

Heute würde ich von sanften Wellenrauschen geweckt! Dann ging's zum Frühstück und anschließend an Strand! Ich mag dieses Hostel hier wirklich sehr! Die "Massen" verteilen sich gut und nur zwischen 15-19Uhr ist mehr los, weil da ein Shuttle aus Léon ankommt und die Leute 4h am Strand abhängen und den Sonnenuntergang anschauen! Ich lief zwischendurch zu einem Aussichtspunkt und wollte dann ins ruhigere Wasser absteigen, leider war die Treppe für mich "gesperrt"... Wie am Tag zuvor erwähnt gibt es diese "killerbienen" und die sind zu Milliarden an der Treppe geschwirrt! Ich - allergisch und Phobisch bin da mal schön auf Abstand geblieben! :-)
Ich pendelte zwischen Pool, Duschen und Strand! Seit ich in El Tunco so untergetaucht wurde von den Wellen, habe ich etwas "Angst"... Und hier sind die Wellen auch wieder so stark --> einTraum für die Surfer! Vll nehme ich doch auch noch ein paar Surf-Stunden...mal sehen!
Ab morgen Reise ich alleine weiter!
Die Interessen meiner Reisebegleitung und meine sind doch zu unterschiedlich, zumindest hab ich mich nicht mehr wohl gefühlt die letzten Tage. Und so kann jede machen was sie will! Man trifft sich bestimmt auf dem Weg und dann hat man sich einiges zu erzählen! :-)
Morgen geht's wieder früh raus, ich muss den Bus gegen 5:30Uhr nach Léon nehmen und dann weiter nach Matagalpa, es fahren nur 2x tgl Busse!
Somit hab ich noch was vom Tag!

Today I explored Léon ... for me it's an half day visit...after I guess I've seen anything important to me there! The highlight was the cathedral. It is the largest in Central America. First it doesn't look very nice, but when you're on the roof top, it's incredible! You have to take off your shoes to walk there - it is all white. The design is reminiscent of Greece! Beautiful!
Then I booked a tour for tomorrow and then spent the rest hot afternoon in the beautiful Garden of the Hostel and updated my pictures in the photo book!

Today i went Volcano boarding!
So cool! I have found an agency where you can standing-up on the board instead of just sitting! We first drove in the jeep for about 45 minutes over volcanic sandy tracks and then we went on a hike (with the board under the arm for about 2km) to an active volcano.
Note: The Cerro Negro is a 728 meter high volcano. He is located in the are called "Cordillera de los Maribios" in which are many active volcanoes. This volcano is very active, but can be climbed, because the eruption times can be telled very predictable on the basis of its specific nature. With each eruption the volcanic cone grows. Last eruption was in 1999.
It was windy up there! Hard to imagine !!
Good that I weigh not only 50kg - I would be afraid to be blown away! : - /
Our group had one couple, me and 2 other girls! 2 girls just hiked up- and downhill, the guy did the volcano boarding while sitting on his board (much like a sleigh ride) and we 2 girls are courageous in standing up while boarding down! It sounds easier than it is! I've done 2-3 curves and I flopped back and then again 2-3 curves ... Amy (the other girl) unfortunately kept on fallen and could not drive down! But it was fun! And everyone wore a super sexy suit! :-)
Then I went to the beach "Las Peñitas".
spend the night here in "Bigfoot hostel" right at the beach (6US $ / person). We are 3 Girls in the 5-bed room! Very cool!
You can hear the waves crashing from your bed! (Once the party takes off and the music is off):-p
But the good thing about all the "drunks" is that they are sleeping during the day and the beach is almost empty :-)
The only bad thing in Nicaragua were so far the bees! On the Volcano we had maybe 5 bees, probably coming out from the
Backpack - I'm always half freaking out and the guide said that about 1 week before a giant swarm of bees flew there and people had to lie flat on the floor! *i didn't believe it *
Then at the beach today, I only see at some point many black "flies" .... Really a lot! And they came closer and I identified them as bees and had a very low altitude and my adrenaline level rose up to 100 times and I lay down flat and the bees then flew to a tree trunk and within seconds was the log black and covered with bees! Something I've never seen! Thank God they didn't sting me. In the evening we walked about 20 minutes to the "village" and have eaten something. Then a bit relaxed and then we went to bed!
February 26th 2015
Today I'd woken up by gentle waves crashing! Then we went for breakfast and then to the beach! I really like this hostel here! The "masses" are spread out well and only between 3-7pm is more going on because there is a shuttle from Léon arriving and people stay 4h on the beach and watch the sunset! I went to a viewpoint and then wanted to descend into calmer water, unfortunately the stairs for me were "locked" ... As I mentioned the day before there are this "killer bees" and here there are to billions on the stairs! I am allergic and phobic as well so I remained on distance! :-)
I commuted between pool, showers and beach! Since I became immersed in El Tunco by the waves, I have some "fear" ... And here the waves are so strong again -> good for the surfers! Maybe I gonna go and take a few surf lessons ... we'll see! Tomorrow I start traveling alone!
The interests of my travel companion and mine are too different, at least I didn't feel comfortable with the situation the last few days. And so, each of us can do independently what we want!!
Tomorrow I'll have to get up soon and need to take the bus at 5: 30 am to Léon and then one to Matagalpa, serves only twice daily!
