Um Popayan zu besichtigen reicht durchaus ein Tag. Deshalb entschied ich mich am nächsten Tag um 9 Uhr einen Shuttle nach San Agustin zu nehmen. (COP $ 14000, 4,5h). Es geht durch die Berge und die Straßen sind steinig und ungeteert. Durch den vielen Regen ist es manchmal recht schwierig zu fahren und man kommt nur langsam voran!
In San Agustin angekommen wollte ich und Hostel El Jardin, der Fahrer erzählte mir von seinem Amigo und ich bekam im Cabanas Las Moyas ein riesiges Zimmer mit 2 Doppelbetten, Bad und heißen Wasser. Es war ruhig gelegen (10 min Fußmarsch von der Stadt) und kostete nur COP $ 20.000. ich buchte 2 Nächte! Außerdem buchte ich eine Jeep-Fahrt, die zu 6 wichtigen Sehenswürdigkeiten führt ( 2 Wasserfälle, Rio Magdalena und 3 Ausgrabungsstätten) für COP$ 40.000 und dauerte von 9-18 Uhr. Als ich abends in meiner Unterkunft ankam, erklärte mir die Tochter, dass sie mein Gepäck in einen separaten Raum hat, weil sie ausgebucht sind und ich in ein anderes (gleichwertiges) Hotel komme.
Ich hatte mich auf meine heiße Dusche und das Bett gefreut und jetzt muss ich umziehen?! Wir sind zu den Nachbarn, die hatten nix frei. Dann sind wir noch eins weiter - ein Hotel. Da kostet die Nacht mit Frühstück COP $ 35.000. Der Chef erklärte sich einverstanden mir ein Zimmer ohne Frühstück für die 20.000 zu geben. Wenn ich nicht so müde gewesen wäre, wär ich in die Stadt gelaufen und wäre gleich ins hostel El Jardin, denn da wollte ich für die letzte Nacht hin, weil der Bus direkt nebenan um 5 Uhr morgens abfährt und ich nicht um 4:30uhr eine halbe Stunde durch die Dunkelheit und einsame Straßen laufe. Im Hotel habe ich ein 4 Bettzimmer bekommen mit Bad. Es war in Ordnung, leider funktionierte das Wifi im Zimmer nicht. :-(
Am nächsten Morgen wollte ich gleich um 8 Uhr im archäologischen Park von San Agustin sein. Es hat bis 9:30 Uhr in Strömen geregnet, der Strom fiel im ganzen Dorf aus. Gegen 12:30 Uhr war ich zurück und es gab immernoch kein Strom! Ich bin ins Dorf gelaufen und hab im El Jardin eingecheckt. (COP $ 17.000) habe ein Einzelzimmer mit geteiltem Bad. Schlimm, wie abhängig man vom Strom ist... Wir können das Wasser nicht trinken, da die Filteranlage Strom braucht, ich kann nicht skypen/recherchieren/im Netz surfen, da der Router Strom benötigt, ich kann meine Bilder nicht sortieren, weil mein Laptop keine Batterie mehr hat!
Ich bin die Einzige im Hostel. Aus lauter "Verzweiflung" unterhielt ich mich mit den Papageien im Garten! Morgen geht's weiter nach Pasto. Dazu muss ich zuerst gegen 5 Uhr nach Pitalito (~ 40 Minuten, COP $ 6.000) und dann um 7 Uhr den anscheinend einzigen Direktbus nach Pasto nehmen (COP $ 45000, ca. 7h). Bin gespannt, ob das klappt! Dort möchte ich 2 Tage verbringen und dann nach Ecuador!
Nach ca 10 Stunden ist der Strom zurück!!

To visit Popayan ranges quite a day. So I decided to take the next day at 9 am a shuttle to San Agustin (COP $ 14,000, 4.5 hours). It goes through the mountains and the roads are unpaved and rocky. Through all the rain it is sometimes quite difficult to drive and the vehicle only goes slow!
At San Agustin I wanted to go to the Hostel El Jardin, the driver told me about his Amigo and I got a huge room with 2 double beds, bathroom and hot water. It was a quiet area (10 min walk from the town) and only cost COP $ 20,000. I booked 2 nights at Cabanas Las Moyas! Also, I booked a jeep ride that leads to 6 major attractions (2 waterfalls, Rio Magdalena and 3 archaeological sites) for COP $ 40,000 and lasted from 9am - 6pm. When I arrived in the evening in my hotel the daughter told me that she has put my luggage in a separate room because they are fully booked and I have to go in another (equivalent) hotel.
I was looking forward to my hot shower and the bed and now I have to move ?! We went to the neighbors who had nothing free. Then we've been to another one. There the night with breakfast was COP $ 35,000. The boss agreed to give me a room without breakfast for 20,000. If I had not been so tired, I'd run into town and would just go to the hostel El Jardin, because I wanted to go there for the last night anyways, because the bus leaves from right next door by 5am in the morning and I do not like to start a walk half an hour through the dark and deserted streets by 4:30 am. In the hotel I have a 4 bed room with bath and hot water. It was alright, unfortunately the Wifi worked not in the room. :-(
The next morning I wanted to be at 8 am in the Archaeological Park of San Agustin. It rained until 9:30 am in streams, the power went out in the whole village. Finally I was able to go to the park at 9:30, when the rain stopped! Around 12:30pm I came back and there was still no electricity! I walked into the village and got to El Jardin. (COP $ 17,000) there I had a single room with shared bathroom. Interesting how important electricity is ... We can not drink the water because the filter system needs electricity, I can not skype / research / surfing the web, because the router needs power, I can not organize my pictures because my Laptop has no battery and I'm not able to charge it....
I'm the only one in the hostel. Out of sheer "despair" I was talking to the parrots in the garden! Tomorrow im off to Pasto. For this I must leave faround 5 am to Pitalito (~ 40 minutes drive, COP $ 6000) and then by 7am apparently leaves the only direct bus to Pasto (COP $ 45,000, about 7h). Let's see if it works! There I would spend approximately 2 days and then enter to Ecuador!
As you see - after 10 hours we got the electricity back!
