Heute habe ich mich auf die 10 stündige Fahrt von San Agustin nach Pasto begeben! Diese als “Trampolín de la Muerte” bezeichnete Strecke führt abenteuerlich in den Fels geschlagen 78 km von Mocoa nach San Francisco und von dort moderater weiter nach Pasto. Die Straße ist eng und wird auch von Lkw befahren, es kommt also gelegentlich zu Rangiermanövern. Etwas Bodenfreiheit, Schwindelfreiheit und Allrad sollten aber schon vorhanden sein. Wahnsinnige Vegetation! Je höher man kommt, desto nebliger! Belohnt wird der Mut mit herrlichen Ausblicken ins Tal und auf den Nebelwald. Ein Teil der Strecke versank in den Wolken. Wirklich schön! Nach San Francisco führt die Strecke gut ausgebaut nochmal auf über 3200 m hoch, um dann Richtung Pasto abzufallen. Dann lief ich 1,5h durch Pasto auf der Suche nach einer bezahlbaren Unterkunft. In einem etwas "düsteren" Viertel (Auto-Werkstatt-Straße, Calle 17 hat gefühlte 300 Auto- und Motorrad-Werkstätten) fand ich endlich ein "Hotel" mit wifi!
Das nüchterne Erwachen kam schnell!
Alles verschimmelt! Eis-Kaltes Wasser, aber super wifi Verbindung, sauberes Bett und Tv, dazu nettes Personal! :-) was will man mehr *würg* wenn der Schimmel beseitigt würde und das Wasser heiß wäre, wäre es ne Top Location!
Ich hoffe meine Gesundheit verträgt 1 Nacht Schimmel! Dieses Erlebnis hat mich dazu bewogen, in der Früh "kurz" die Stadt anzugucken und dann weiter nach Ecuador zu gehen! Es kann nur besser werden :-?

Ich nahm ein Collectivo vom Terminal nach Ipiales (COP $7000, 90 Minuten), dort brachte ich mein Gepäck zur Aufbewahrung (COP $ 2000/ Stück) und nahm ein Collectivo nach Las Lajas (COP $ 2,5000) um eine beeindruckende Kirche über einer Schlucht zu sehen. Danach ging es nach Rumichaca (COP $ 1700, ca. 10-15Min., dort habe ich die Migration in Kolumbien vollendet und habe in Ecuador eingecheckt :-) es ging alles schnell und ohne Probleme. Dort habe ich meine restlichen kolumbianischen Peso in US $ getauscht und bin mit einem Collectivo (0,75 US$, 20 Min) nach Tulcan gefahren! Dort hatte ich das Glück 10 Min. Später den Bus um 15 Uhr nach Otavalo zu bekommen (3,75 US$, 3h).
!! nach fast 1 Monat heißt es:
Adiós Kolumbien! WILLKOMMEN IN ECUADOR !!
Ich habe in Tulcan gleich einen Bus bekommen der nach Quito fährt und in Otavalo einen Stopp einlegt. Eigentlich super, dass man nahtlos von einem Bus in den anderen kann.... blöd nur, wenn man dringend Pinkeln muss - und wie sich rausstellt die Toilette im Bus abgeschlossen ist und nicht geöffnet wird :-o *aaaaargh*
Nach 3h haben wir Ibarra erreicht und laut Reiseführer dauert es dann nur noch ca. 35 Min. bis Otavalo. Die Blase platzt schon bald.....
Nach einer weiteren Stunde, fing ich mich an zu wundern....draußen war es bereits dunkel, ich kenn mich ja eh nicht aus.... Also fragte ich den dicken Mann hinter mir (der bis jetzt mit seinem Schnarchen Wälder abgesägt hat) wann Otavalo kommt. Er meinte, dass wir es vor ca. 15 Min. passiert haben. SUPER !!! Die Stimmung STEIGT. Also rannte ich vor zum Busfahrer, fragte wieso er mich vergessen hat und er hat mich daraufhin an einer Ecke "rausgeschmissen" und meinte, dass da ein Bus in Richtung Otavalo zurück fährt. DANKE ! Gott sei Dank, kam der Bus auch schon 1 Min. später, ich bezahlte 1 US $ und erklärte den Busfahrern, dass sie mir bitte sagen sollen wann und wo ich aussteigen muss. Ich war schon den Tränen nahe, muss ich zugeben. Lisa ALLEINE bei Nacht irgendwo in Ecuador. Aber hat ja dann alles geklappt. Kaum ausgestiegen, kamen 3 Taxifahrer auf mich zu. Meine Antwort war nur: "Ich brauch DRINGEND ein Klo", danach können wir weiterreden. *lol* Ihr werdet lachen.... aber nach 5h mit mega voller Blase und dann noch vergessen zu werden, da lache auch ich nicht mehr.....
Dann lief ich zu meinem Hostel "Otavalos Inn" (20 US $/Nacht inkl. Frühstück). Super super schön, Einzelzimmer mit Bad, "warmen Wasser" (das leider nicht mal lauwarm war und bei 11°C ist das auch kein Spaß). Bis auf das ist hier alles wunder wunder schön und alle sind sehr nett. Wirklich billig ist hier keine Unterkunft. Aber ich entschied mich noch ein anderes Hostel zu testen für 14 US$/Nacht , auch ein Einzelzimmer,allerdings mit geteiltem Bad, anscheinend heißem Wasser und auch mit Frühstück. (Hostal Valle del Amanecer). Hier im Dorf ((das mitten in den Bergen liegt, umgeben von Vulkanen.... erinnert mich bisschen an die Berge in Österreich oder Schweiz) haben Sonntags auch fast alle Läden geschlossen, also ging ich durch die Strassen und besuchte den Markt. Wunderschöne Kleidung/Schals aus Alpaka-Wolle, Souvenirs, Obst/Gemüse.... und was tut man, wenn man nichts zu tun hat .... genau: shopping *lol*

Und was auffällt...90% der männlichen Bevölkerung trägt lange Haare, meist zu einem oder mehreren Zöpfen geflochten....
Da in meinen Hostels irgendwie keine anderen Touris sind, bin ich komplett allein im Moment. Deshalb geh ich morgen dann nach Quito und begebe mich in den Trubel der Hauptstadt. Alleine durch Berge und Seen wandern ist auch nicht so schön. Und mal bisschen "Nichts" tun gefällt mir auch sehr.
Da in meinen Hostels irgendwie keine anderen Touris sind, bin ich komplett allein im Moment. Deshalb geh ich morgen dann nach Quito und begebe mich in den Trubel der Hauptstadt. Alleine durch Berge und Seen wandern ist auch nicht so schön. Und mal bisschen "Nichts" tun gefällt mir auch sehr.

Today I've been on a 10 hour drive from San Agustin to Pasto! This as a "trampoline de la Muerte" designated route leads adventurous 78 km from Mocoa to San Francisco and from there further moderate to Pasto. The road is narrow and is also used by truck, so there are occasional maneuvering. A little ground clearance, fear of heights and 4wheel should already be in place. Insane vegetation! The higher you go, the misty! Courage is rewarded with magnificent views of the valley and the cloud forest. Part of the route sank into the clouds. Really nice! After San Francisco, the route is well developed again to over 3200 m high, then drops towards Pasto. On youtube there is a small video that offers you any more insight:

Once in Pasto, I took a Bus from the Terminal into this crazy huge City and finally ended up walking for 1.5 hours looking for an affordable accommodation. In a somewhat "dark" district (auto repair shop street, Calle 17 has like 300 car and motorcycle repair shops) I finally found a "hotel" with wifi!

The sober awakening came fast!
Everything moldy! Ice-cold water, but super wifi connection, clean bed and TV, plus nice staff! :-) What more could you want * lol * when the mold was removed and the water was hot, it would be a Top Location!
I hope my health tolerate 1 night mold! This experience has led me to a short sightseeing at the city in the morning and then move on to Ecuador! It can only get better: -?

I took a collectivo from the Terminal to Ipiales (COP $ 7000, 90 minutes), where I storaged my luggage (COP $ 2000 / each) and took another collectivo to Las Lajas (COP $ 2.5000) to an impressive church. After I went to Rumichaca with another Collectivo (COP $ 1,700, about 10-15 minutes, and I have completed the migration in Colombia and Ecuador.:-) It all went quickly and without problems. There, I've changed my remaining Colombian Peso in US $ and am using a collectivo again (US $ 0.75, 20 min) to Tulcan! There I have been lucky and just 10 min. later depart the bus to Otavalo at 3pm (3.75 US $, 3h).
!! after almost one month I have to say: Adiós Colombia! WELCOME IN ECUADOR !!
Actually great that you can seamlessly switch from one bus to another .... only problem is, if you urgently need to pee - and as it turns out, the toilet in the bus is not open and they wont open it for you as well : -o * * Aaaaargh.
After 3 h, we have attained Ibarra and according to my guide-book it only takes about 35 min. To Otavalo. The bladder bursts soon .....
After another hour, I began wondering.... it was already dark outside, I do not know where we are .... So I asked the fat man behind me (who sawed off forests with his snoring ) when Otavalo comes. He said that we have passed it about 15 minutes ago.. SUPER !!! The mood RISES. So I ran to the bus driver and asked why he has forgotten me, and he has "kicked me out" at a corner and said that here are departing buses to Otavalo as well. THANK YOU! Thankfully, the bus arrived just 1 minute later, I paid US $ 1 and told the bus drivers that they please tell me when and where I have to get off. I was close to tears, I have to admit. Lisa ALONE at night somewhere in Ecuador. But then everything worked. Hardly got out, 3 taxi driver came up to me. My answer was: "I need URGENTLY a toilett", then we can talk. * Lol * You will laugh .... but after 5 hours with mega full bladder and then to be forgotten, I'm not in the mood laughing more .....
Then I walked to my hostel "Otavalo Inn" (US$ 20 / night incl. Breakfast). Super super nice single room with bathroom, "warm water" (which was not even lukewarm and at 11 ° C that's no fun). Except this, everything is very beautiful and all are very nice. Here is nothing really cheap. But I decided to check another hostel for US $ 14 / night, a single room, but with shared bath, hot water, and apparently with breakfast. (Hostal Valle del Amanecer). Here in the village (which is located in the mountains, surrounded by volcanoes .... reminds me slightly of the mountains in Austria or Switzerland) on Sundays almost all shops are closed, so I went through the streets and visited the market. Beautiful clothing / scarves made of alpaca wool, souvenirs, fruit / vegetables .... and what do you do when you have nothing to do .... just: shopping * lol *
Something you can't oversee is That approx.90% of the male people here, having long hair....
Somehow no other tourists are in my hostels, I am completely alone at the moment. So I will move on tomorrow to Quito and make my way in the hustle and bustle of the capital. Alone hiking through mountains and lakes is not as nice as if you have some company. And do some times "Nothing," I also like very much.
