Lisa - the globetrotter: Ica - Lima

Kaum war ich in Ica angekommen, (12:10 Uhr) stand ich etwas unter Druck eine Unterkunft zu finden und ein Tour-Office, weil ich nachmittags eine Buggy - und Sandboard-Tour machen wollte! Das erste Hostel (wo ich auf tripadvisor ausgesucht hatte) war ausgebucht :-/ 2 weitere Hostels waren für 30 Sol (10US$) aber wieder schimmelig und dunkel und ungemütlich...dann bin ich in ein Hotel und hab ein super Zimmer mit TV und privaten Bad für 30 Sol bekommen (weils im 5.Stock ohne Aufzug ist)...und dann hab ich ums Eck ein Tourbüro gefunden und um 13:00 Uhr eine Tour für 15:30 Uhr gebucht! Somit hatte ich noch genug Zeit zum Essen. (Seit gestern Abend hatte ich nichts mehr :-/ )

Die Tour war wirklich ein cooles Erlebnis! Es ging nach Huacachina (ca.8km von Ica). Dort waren wir dann zu 6. (U.a. eine Frau mit 2 Kindern = 4 Monate und ca. 7 Jahre - verrückt). Wir sind durch die Wüste geheizt und 2x mit dem Board die Dünen runter! Einmal nahm ich Jennifer (das "7-jährige" Mädchen und wir sind sitzend auf dem Board die Düne runter gerutscht.
War echt schön! Um18 Uhr war ich dann wieder in Ica zurück! Dann musste ich noch einiges recherchieren. Ich hab einen Host zum couchsurfen in Lima gefunden, hab einen Flug von Lima nach Cuzco gebucht (dauert nur 1,5 h für den doppelten Preis vom Bus, der 22h dauert).
Und die Erde bebte an dem Tag. Was für ein erschreckendes Erlebnis. Ich stand an der Rezeption und plötzlich wackelte der Boden, aber so richtig. Ich stand wie versteinert da, wusste gar nicht was passiert. Und dann war es auch schon wieder vorbei :-p (http://earthquaketrack.com/quakes/2015-05-14-18-33-32-utc-4-8-51)

Um 21:30 Uhr fielen meine Augen zu und ich konnte endlich ausschlafen. Dann ging es um 12 Uhr für 5h im Luxusbus (nur 1€ mehr, als der Bus gestern) zurück nach Lima. Dort holte mich mein Host Carlos vom Bus ab. Am nächsten Tag zeigte er mir Lima Centro und Sonntag früh ging es um 6:30!Uhr mit dem Taxi an den Flughafen! Der einzigste Stressfaktor, den ich habe ist, dass ich noch keine Tickets für Dienstag zum Machu Picchu habe! Und Sonntags hat auch in Cuzco alles zu! Das wird noch spannend! Alle Agenturen wollen !!! 300 US$ !!! für die Tagestour! Wahnsinn! Auf eigene Faust kommt man etwa 100US$ billiger....aber, ob ich da die Tickets gebucht bekomme auf den letzten Drücker ??! Bleibt spannend! Auf jeden Fall muss man das gesehen haben, wenn man schonmal in Peru ist :-) und der Zeitplan ist knapp!

As soon as I arrived in Ica (12:10pm), I was under pressure finding an accommodation and a tour office, because I wanted to take the afternoon tour with a buggy and sand-boarding in the dunes of Huacachina! The first hostel (where I had picked on TripAdvisor) was booked: - / 2 other hostels were for 30 sol ($ 10US) but again moldy and dark and uncomfortable ...finally I ended up in a hotel and got a great room with TV and private bathroom for 30 Sol (Cause it's on the 5th floor without elevator) ... and then I've found an agency at 1pm and booked a tour for 15:30pm! Thus, I had enough time to eat. (Since yesterday evening I had nothing more :-/)

The tour was really a cool experience! We went to Huacachina (ca.8km of Ica). Then we were 6 people. (A woman with 2 children = 4 months, and one about 7 years - crazy). We drove into the desert and the driver did a few crazy moves and then we were able to sand board twice down the dunes! One time I took the 7 year old girl Jennifer and we were sitting on the board and slides down together!

It was really nice! About 6pm I was back in Ica! Then I had to do a lot of research. I've found a host to do couch surfing in Lima, got a flight from Lima to Cuzco booked (only takes 1.5 hours for twice the price of the bus, which takes 22h). And the earth shook on the day. What a terrifying experience. I stood at the front desk and suddenly shook the ground, but really. I stood there petrified, did not know what happened. At 9:30pm my eyes closed and I slept Til 7am. Then I took a by 12pm for 5h the luxury bus (just € 1 more than the bus yesterday) back to Lima. There I met my host Carlos at the busstation. The next day he showed me Lima Centro and Sunday morning it was about I took at 5 am the taxi to the airport! The only stress factor that I have now : I do not have any tickets for Tuesday to Machu Picchu! And Sunday almost every agencies are closed in Cuzco! This becomes even more exciting! All agencies want !!! US $ 300 !!! for day tours! Madness! On your own you get it around $ 100US cheaper .... but if I get the tickets get booked at the last minute ??! Will be exciting! Definitely a must-see, if you're ever in Peru :-) and the schedule is tight!
